As we are entering the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”, the impact of an ever-expanding digital world is rapidly transforming the way we work, how mining is perceived within the global environment, and creating opportunities to improve the mining process, workforce safety and integrating all aspects of our operations.
Mining is highly variable and has many geological uncertainties as well as often being in remote locations and formidable environments, our challenge is how we adapt our underground operations in the face of the new frontier and the opportunities that are created; whether that is using machine data to improve productivity, changing how our people are working, or how we engage with the community. We want to hear from you on how your operation is transforming through this rapid period of change and the impacts it has had, good and bad, on your operation.
The AusIMM Underground Operators Conference brings together suppliers, engineers and operators from the underground mining industry both from locally and internationally to share their stories of both success and failure at their operations. In 2020, we invite you to showcase your triumphs and challenges, so that we can all bring back tips, inspiration and new ideas to our own work and operations and connect and collaborate with others experiencing the same challenges.
We look forward to hearing your experiences in Perth in March 2020!
